2004 Balnaves The Tally Cabernet Sauvingnon
The 2004 Balnaves the Tally is a tightly held together Coonawarra red, regarded by Balnaves as being their best effort to date. Totally opaque black purple colour with excellent cling. Superb lifted perfumed nose with aromas of violet, liquorice allsorts, blackcurrant, confectionery and spice. The palate delivers flavours of blackcurrant, spice and liquorice over a background of white pepper and spice. Fine dry, persistent chalky tannins. Aftertaste of blackcurrant, spice and liquorice. Jeremy Oliver 97 Points, Drinking 2024 – 2034.
