2008 Mount Mary Triolet
The 2008 Mount Mary Triolet is a very stylish modern white Bordeaux style from a warmer vintage. Smokey aromas of fresh gooseberries, melon and grapefruit are underpinned by lightly grassy, nettle-like scents, hints of cured meats and some reductive, lees-derived complexity. It’s long and deeply flavoured, smooth and creamy, with a vibrant core of tangy fruit supported by a fine dusty backbone, playing down the entire palate towards a savoury and lightly mineral finish punctuated by fresh, citrusy acids. 2011 Mount Mary Triolet White Blend
The 2011 Mount Mary Triolet is perhaps the finest and raciest release under this label, with a fresh, lightly herbal, chalky and mineral bouquet of gooseberries, passionfruit, melon and citrusy notes deftly backed by a light touch of creamy vanilla oak. It’s lean, taut and perfectly focused, with a delightful presence of vibrant fruit, freshly integrated oak and a juicy viscosity tightly controlled by racy, nervy acids, finishing with exceptional length, balance and brittleness. Jeremy Oliver 97 Points, Drinking 2019- 2023.
